John Gregory A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS Vinyl LP

On offer here is a 33rpm LP Record of A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, by John Gregory and issued on the United Artists Records label in 1974. Early if not first pressing. Also includes an insert "presenting John Gregory" containing biographical notes and a summary of the material on the record and how it has been arranged or adapted. It also includes the lyrics of JETSTREAM

The record itself is in good condition, with one or two visible scratches and marks. Very good sound quality despite this, with NO jumps, or pops and only a little background crackle here and there. Some light spindle wear, labels very clean, hardly any spider marks.

The sleeve and colourful inner sleeves are in very good condition, with only minor storage and handling wear (slight bumping to corners, slight rubbing to edges, the odd small chip/nick here and there, nothing drastic at all). Overall, the LP is in good condition and the sound quality is excellent.

Long recognised in the British music business as being at the top of his profession as a composer, conductor and arranger, John Gregory is undoubtedly one of the most creative, imaginitive and adaptable writers of the 1960s and 1970s, as can be seen from the variety of music styles portrayed on this album. It is almost impossible to believe that the same man could compose music so totally different in concept as the impressive 'classic' style of his string writing in "Introduction and Air to a Stained Glass Window", and yet at the same time, write music so modern, so rhythmic and up to date in style as "Jetstream", "Jaguar" and particularly "Earthshaker". Equally at home when writing for full orchestra, choir, string orchestra or big brass band, this record portrays just some of John Gregory's own unique sounds, but above all, it shows his genuine sincerity and love of music generally.
